At G Friends: Make Global Friends, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access or use the application.
Important Note: We are fully compliant with Google Play Console Developer Policies regarding user safety, data privacy, and online protection. Users have full control over their personal data at all times, including real-time control to request permanent account and data deletion.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information about you in a range of ways to provide a secure and social matchmaking chat experience:
- Account Details: When you register and complete onboarding, we store your email address, name, gender, age, profile pictures, and biography.
- Chat & Media Messages: In order to deliver real-time messages, we store and sync text chat history and media links (images/videos) between you and other users.
- Stories & Moments: Images, videos, and texts you post on your stories are saved securely and automatically expire after a set time.
- Call Session Metadata: We process minimal signaling metadata (such as Caller ID, Receiver ID, and Call Type) to facilitate peer-to-peer audio and video calls. We do NOT record or store the actual audio or video call stream contents.
- Location Data: If permission is granted, we access your device location to calculate and display the distance between you and other users. You can disable this permission at any time.
2. Device Permissions We Require
To enable core social and communication features, G Friends requests access to the following hardware and software APIs:
- Camera: To capture profile pictures and transmit live video during video calls.
- Microphone: To record audio messages and capture voice during audio and video calls.
- Photos & Media Library: To upload profile photos, send images/videos in chat, and post stories.
- Location: To show the distance between you and potential connections.
- Notifications: To deliver real-time notifications for incoming messages, calls, and updates.
3. Third-Party Integration Services
We use vetted industry-standard service providers to host, sync, and deliver app components:
- Firebase (Google LLC): Used for secure user authentication (Email/Password login and Google Sign-In) and Firestore database hosting to sync real-time chats.
- Cloudinary: Used for secure, optimized hosting of media attachments (images/videos) uploaded by users in chats and stories.
4. User Safety & Account Deletion
We empower users with full control over their social footprint:
- Blocking & Reporting: You can block or report any user who violates community guidelines. Moderation reviews take place within 24 hours.
- In-App Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your profile at any time via the Settings Screen > Delete Account button. This immediately and irreversibly wipes your profile, saved chat histories, matches, and images from our database.
- Web-Based Account Deletion: If you no longer have the app installed, you can request account deletion online without installing the app. Please visit our Account Deletion Request Page to submit your request.
5. Age Restrictions
Our services are intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we learn we have collected info of a minor, we will delete it immediately.
